50 Year Warranty

THURMAN HOMES is proud that we ONLY use a “MAX DESIGN” foundation. This foundation boasts an almost indefinite design life. This extraordinary foundation takes advantage of the same engineering principles used to build our nations highways.

We begin by drilling a series of piers that are 15 feet deep or to bedrock. These pier holes are then filled with steel rebar and concrete. The foundation begins with concrete beams that are 12" wide by 30" deep and reinforced by four 3/4" thick grade 60 steel reinforcing bars. The 5" thick slab that rests upon these beams is reinforced with 1/2" thick rebar. This design creates a mat of steel with bars every twelve inches in both directions. The tremendous amount of steel and concrete creates an extremely strong and durable foundation. Due to the "MAX DESIGN" foundation we are proud to offer a 50 year foundation warranty.

Thurman Homes Inc. offers a warranty on your new home against defects in materials and workmanship. Thurman Homes Inc. services your warranty. However for your protection it is backed by the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Company.

The first year of your warranty is a ‘bumper to bumper’ and covers all defects in materials and workmanship. The first 2 years covers all the mechanical systems from electrical and plumbing to the air conditioning, water and sewer systems. The 10 year warranty period covers all structural defects. The remaining 40 years covers the foundation.
